Restless Leg Syndrome Testimonial

- " When I began Physical Therapy the 1st of June, 2006 I was having severe Restless Leg Syndrome 3 or 4 times per week. On a scale of 1-10 I would rate my severest episode as a 10. That episode was probably the result of an adverse reaction to Requip (1.0mg) that I had been taking for about 3 weeks. After discontinuing the Requip and having had 3 sessions of therapy (Anodyne and Power Plate) I had been reduced to 2 or 3 episodes a week that I would rate a 2. After 5 sessions I am relatively free of RLS, but still have a dull ache in my thighs periodically. This does not greatly affect my sleep.

At this time I am able to sit for 1-3 hours in the evening to read or watch TV. I could seldom do this before the therapy.

Occasionally I take Ibuprofen at night--once a week at most. I would credit the combination of Anodyne and Power Plate for my improvement.

Anodyne I believe is the more effective of the two, since I continued to improve during the time the Power Plate was not available. I wold not take medication for RLS again if Physical Therapy was available."
